I’d have given the same reaction to a lazy critique of any of the music I like.

Rap? Crap more like!
Metal? Just blokes with long hair shouting!
Electronic music? Like dancing round a car alarm!
Indie? Load of drippy blokes in jumpers that don’t fit!

I’ve noticed a few of your posts here and you seem to have a very hastily formed view of peoples tastes on this forum, as well as a very lofty view of your own.

My real point there was that even if I don’t particularly care for a certain genre of music there will be certain records that rise above the genre and stand out on their own as a truly great piece of work.

I’m willing to listen and learn. And I have stuff on my shelves that might truly surprise even some of my closest friends.

A while back something he posted implied that he was around when Led Zep were coming through, and he does seem to have a lot of knowledge about older bands. So I’m reading him more as old man yelling at cloud [insert hip hop reference here? I can only get old man yelling at Atmosphere and that doesn’t really work]
