Make a tomato sauce, freeze what you don’t use for another time

If they are good quality make some roasted tomato soup. Cut them in half and put them in a baking tray with a quartered onion, a chopped up red pepper, some cloves of garlic, salt and pepper and lots of olive oil. Roast on a lowish temperature (about 150 in a fan oven) until all broken down and starting to catch a bit (about an hour but longer is better). Blend, add some vegetable stock (or water) until you get the thickness you like then pass through a sieve, reheat and then eat. Add a bit of basil at the end if you have it.

I would describe them as highly average in quality

Oven-dried tomatoes:

Chop 'em in half. Put them on a baking tray with some salt, a drizzle of olive oil and dried herbs, maybe some garlic, cook in a very low oven (maybe 60C) for a few hours. Put them in a clean jar, cover with oil, and they’ll keep in the fridge for a week or so.

I like them on toast for breakfast, or added to a salad or some pasta

May not be worth the effort then. That soup is incredible if made with good fresh tomatoes from my garden
