Listened to their first album a couple of times after seeing the high praise on here but was left totally underwhelmed both times. Some nice enough tunes but none of it grabbed me and I found myself paying little attention to it after a few tracks.

I’ve therefore not even bothered listening to their second.

Pretty much all of ^this for me too. That said, caught them live at Latitude over the summer and they were pretty good

Update to ^this - a mate has a spare ticket for them at Brixton tomorrow night so I’ve said that I’ll go with him. As such, currently listening to the second album after all. It’s nice enough tbh tbf…

First albums generally decent with some top tunes (bros, silk, whore, dust etc.) in the first half and some general shite in the second half (swallowtail etc.)

2nd album has a few OK pop tunes but nothing particularly great and there are some really embarrassing parts - sky musings for example, is dogshit and the bit where she goes ‘woof woof woof’ on yuk foo. Overall it sounds like Taylor swift having a go at pop punk.

I like Ladytron but I think after just 2 albums, Wolf Alice already have a better collection of top 10 songs than Ladytron.

Let’s agree to disagree. In my opinion Ladytron are superior to Wolf Alice. Not only that Ladytron’s Top 10 would be hard to make because they have so many great songs (enough to fill in at least a 40 tracks Best Of) but those 10 songs would be better than anything Wolf Alice have ever done.
