I'd always dismissed Sleaford Mods as being a bit shit but I've heard their new song and I was wrong

They’re extremely shit. Is this a Vic and Bob skit or something

Used to think they were a bit shit, then I thought they were quite good for a bit, now I think they’re a bit shit again.

Yeah really bad song. Still maintain they were a genuinely exciting act 15 years ago when they’d support my shit improv band in 60 cap venues in Nottingham

New single aside I’m broadly a fan, but they really shouldn’t have this many albums…

Keeps them off the streets

Quite liked Stick in a 5 and Go, and Jolly Fucker, but that was all the Sleaford Mods I ever needed in my life.

This is like something out of Peep Show

Noel Gallagher was so right about these

Their sound was always going to get tired. Can’t do that shtick for more than two albums

Proof that you shouldn’t base your whole musical career off the Shameless intro

Enjoyed the run of austerity dogs, divide and exit and key markets. Not so much anything else.

Remember that time he threw a tantrum because someone threw a Palestine flag on stage then was all “my job is music, not politics” despite making albums about how Tories are shit?

I remember that time.

They’ve always been shite, but that’s like a parody of themselves, not done very well.
