Back when I paid for physical media I’d probably be livid about paying for a 20 minute album but now I value brevity.

No bendy bits: shit
Two or more bendy bits: too many bendy bits
Marathons: shit. Even the people doing them clearly aren’t having any fun.
One bendy bit: perfect.
Love the middle distances tbh. Long enough to be tactical and have people gassing out, short enough to not be boring.
The two Kelly Holmes golds in 2004 are pretty much my benchmark for fun running races

Only voted for this because 5km time trial wasn’t provided as an option.
Why I specified road stage
time trials are done on roads m8
My favourite encores are where the band either stays on stage or gets everyone to pretend they’re coming back on etc

20-30 walk to work gives you enough time to actually enjoy something (album, podcast) in a way a shorter walk wouldn’t, plus there and back to work plus getting up and down from my desk would be enough activity to not make me feel guilty about sitting down the rest of the day
similarly need that much time on a drunk walk to eat food and let the world stop spinning quite so much

Laura Marling did this the first time I saw her (“I hate encores so we’ve got two songs left, can everybody clap loads now?”), and glad to see she was still keeping it up last year as well. Yet another plus point for her
