Weirdly the Ally Pally website has Embrace playing there on the same night, which must mean Idles are in another section? Embrace and Idles fans hanging out together, lovely.

They seem like nice guys so Iā€™m pleased for them. Saw them at end of the road last year and it felt like a genuine event.
Also nice to see how madly over enthusiastic my son (sixteen y.o) and his mates are for them - itā€™s relatively easy to be snide about their lyrics, but they are clearly hitting a lot of chords with people.

Embrace are playing the newly re-opened theatre inside the Palace (which is a very cool space).

I used to love Embrace when I was younger and more silly and I agreed to go to see them again with an old mate for old timeā€™s sake. I know it will be terrible but Ally Pally is ten mins from my flat so I thought why notā€¦

And then they announced Idles on the same night at the same placeā€¦ I love Idles, seen them 5 times in the last couple of years. I am so sick about this turn of events, esp as I know I have no one else to blame but myselfā€¦

Get right up front with your mate then sneak off to the bar/toilet during Embraceā€™s opener and tell your mate you couldnā€™t squish your way back in through the crowd. Go enjoy Idles. Leave halfway through Rottweiler. Re-emerge at the Embrace gig halfway through All You Good Good People (Iā€™m guessing). Meet up with your mate, say something about how you enjoyed that version of Come Back To What You Know. Easy.
