Someone recently told me that Believe was the first number one single to feature autotune, which sounded feasible enough to me that I’ve been repeating it as fact ever since.
Yeah think I remember hearing this fact on the radio at the time. Think there was a lot of hoo haa about it
Certainly the first number one to have been written by someone from Whitehaven in Cumbria.
Actually it was probably the first chart bothering song since O Superman to use auto tune
I remember hearing Daft Punk’s One More Time for the first time and thinking it was Cher on vocals just because that was my only real frame of reference
