All (road) cars to be limited to a maximum speed of, say, 70 or 80mph max and reduced automatically to 20/30 or whatever is appropriate in built-up areas using very simple technology that already exists.
it’s annoying because it’s almost like people assume the current status quo is just something that will carry on being the same if nobody voted rather than an ongoing process that we are all involved in.

Interesting. Both you and Bam have aligned being uninformed with being uneducated. I would think if someone is uninformed on an important vote then how can they make a judgement call at all. Maybe the real issue at work is how the average person isnt getting informed adequately to tackle such big questions and politicians are happy to have it that way so that they can manipulate them.

friend of a friend I tried for ages to convince to vote and his argument changed from “nah they’re all the same what’s the point?” to “you make some good points but I’m not going to vote anyway” either because he was too lazy to go down to the polling station or scared he would look stupid and not know what to do. It was very sad
