Some kind of restriction on the number of certain chains/franchises allowed in a specific area, so like no more than 10 Tesco Expresses in a 50 mile radius - so smaller, independent shops actually get a chance.

  • Sure
  • No, but I like the idea of doing something to challenge the homogenisation of the high street
  • No, keep it as it is

Universities are far more than just teaching of undergrads. A huge proportion of scientific and sociological research is done at universities. A big number of drugs start out their discovery and development in universities before being taken on by pharma. If we lost universities we’d destroy innovation and research.

Not sure really. At development age it needs to be capped definitely, and the cap would have to rise exponentially I guess. I’m reading No Hunger In Paradise and it’s influencing my opinion.

Someone’s got it in for Disintergration State!

that’s really sad

I’m confident that talented people will be able to adapt.

Some kind of cap on the amount of space per square metre (or per square minute) that can be used as advertising space.

  • yes, hate adverts
  • no, but adverts should be much more strongly regulated

The problem with this, for me, would be the impact on those who rely on the cheaper prices available in those shops and the distances they’d have to go to use them.

This does kind of already exist, but it’s usually in the form of, “One huge supermarket would kill all competition in this town, so we should have two huge supermarkets instead, to prevent a monopoly.”

We’re solving that with Bamnan’s 100% tax and other redistributive policies above :+1:

Reckon just making all education free is the best option here.
No barriers to learning for people from any background or social standing.
An enlightened and educated populace can only be a benefit.

Smash the fuck out of Oxbridge of course.

don’t worry folks I’ve thought everything through

there has to be a strict order to the implementation of these policies to allow people/redistribution/education to catch up

prohibiting people from specialising in a particular subject until they are say, 25. people learn about and gain experience in multiple fields before they choose a path that they are interested in:

This has me laughing as it would open such a can of worms here.
Unless under the GFA we can declare for either UK or Ireland (like in football)
