Page looks uninterested at the start of that solo and its start (the solo) is really lacking, but he flashes into momentarily ridiculous skill. Same with Bonham, just plodding around the kit, but again, some insane deft touches.

I reckon Stairway has weathered the period of being an overplayed butt of jokes and has regained some of its status, mainly because nobody gives two hoots about Led Zeppelin anymore one way or another.
