Cheese already has the requisite amount of creaminess. It’s the same fundamental thing you’re adding.

I was brought up eating it with butter. Honestly think it was cos we were too poor at the time and couldn’t really afford jars of the stuff. Use a fraction of the peanut butter that way, but it is much, much worse than just slapping half a jar on.

Vitalife and peanut butter is a winning combo and no mistakin’, dunno why you wouldn’t.

That depends on what else is in there tbh. Also the type of cheese.

Cheese on toast won’t need butter, especially if you have put a good amount of cheese on there.

Cheddar. Nothing else.

I have a cheddar sandwich a lot and it’s nice. Just straight cheddar and brown bread

claggy is a good word isn’t it

it’s unequivocally fantastic in all it’s forms but it’s not really for toast

would never have even considered doing this. why would you?

Fucking hell, all the opinion lads coming out in full force

lol i’m not just putting cheese straight onto dry bread.

thought the only people who did that were Tesco in those really plain sandwiches they make for crybabies who don’t like anything

God forbid we don’t have butter!!!

God bloody forbid it.

just a bit of lubrication. reckon cheese on just a touch of mayo is quite good.

enjoy your bowl of dry cornflakes in the morning

Loving you work in this thread, top lad

When making a cheese sandwich, if the cheese is sliced I want some butter. If it’s grated, I definitely don’t. Never thought about this before.

Used to serve this toastie at a garden centre cafe I worked at. Grated cheese, grated carrot, mayo. It was awesome, I need to make that ASAP.
