Sometimes when one of my loved ones is feeling down I do wish they could read my mind for a minute just to see how much I love them and how awesome I truly think they are, though.

I think it might make being lonely even worse if you got used to having a bunch of other peopleā€™s thoughts too

maybe if it was a mutual thing youā€™d lose your sense of self as it would be impossible to know where the thought originated or who had ā€œownershipā€ over it. Might bring about supreme peace and happiness

  • You can hear peopleā€™s inner monologues, leaving open the possibility that you could get into a psychic argument/battle of will with them as you were doing it
  • You just get the gist, or a strong impression, of whatever their conscious or subconscious is doing at that moment, kinda like being able to read body language/facial expressions but times a million
  • You can actively harvest any information from their brain or memory at will, kind of like Bran from Game of Thrones

My brain is a terrible place, I donā€™t doubt that lots of other peopleā€™s are too. I would not want to read them any more than Iā€™d be happy knowing someone could read mine. Anyone who has this talent has my deepest sympathies.

Ask me on another day and Iā€™ll probably say something completely different

My first thought was using it to bring down Boris Johnson and the Tories as a whole, then somehow bring about the dismantling of capitalism, and then Iā€™d become pure rich but what does that even mean in the post-scarcity communist utopia Iā€™ve created?

Also I have this thing at the minute where Iā€™m convinced everybody hates me all the time so mind reading would either just confirm what I already know or Iā€™d be pleasantly surprised.
