My mate was just mentioning this on FB and thought it was unique to Samsung but seems to be a general Android issue

Solution:

  1. Navigate to Play Store app
  2. Search for Android System WebView
    (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.webview)
  3. Select the “Update” option
  4. Repeat these steps for Google Chrome (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.android.chrome)

Anyway, thought I’d mention it before anyone resets their phone (which won’t work apparently).

Mine was repeatedly crashing (but not when I was using it) until I did a factory reset a few weeks ago. I’ve since slowly reinstalled apps to see if I could work out which one was causing it with background processes. No crashes since and there a few I haven’t reinstalled but the NHS Covid app is my number one suspect.
