Genuinely think these guys are absolutely wonderful, and are now one of the great singles bands of all time.
It’s all there - mega-catchy songs, virtually all of which are done & dusted inside the three minute mark. A broad, diverse range of musical influences. Great live act. All those iconic music videos. Just love 'em to bits.

I think they were maligned on here years ago as being a couple of landed gentry/trust fund dilettantes trying to hide their true identities when they were on their way up
They were proper cunts to my mates at a festival who they shared a stage with at a festival last year so ah’m 'oot.

And sure enough, when later I typed their names into a search engine, one of the very first results was a 2006 interview with The Guardian when the boys were still pupils at Latymer Upper School, a public school in West London, alma mater to Hugh Grant, several barons, and a sizeable handful of lords.
“My parents have done well,” noted the young master Josh Lloyd-Watson, whose father is identified as owning an advertising business and whose mother is said to own a PR business. “They’re not employed. ‘Employed’ is running like sheep following everyone else and being told what to do. all i really remember about them at the time was them using images like this one from that article whilst remaining ‘anonymous’, which is maybe not that horrendous until you find out they are two insanely posh white blokes. also their music is like watered down Klaxons, utter shite.
On radio P3 here in Sweden constantly, can’t stand them

I saw them at Lovebox (a truly awful festival that I only went to because LCD Soundsystem were headlining) and yeah, they were very enjoyable.
