We’re off to the thing at Shoreham Port on saturday night - it looks great from the photos that other people have posted of it
I’ve seen one of the Ray Lee installations before in Oxford years ago and it was wonderful. I’ve got tickets for Wednesday, accidentally turned into a date which is a nice bonus

This BTNBikeShare thing looks good on the face of it though has anyone any experience?
It’s good and cheap, especially if you want to make short it one way journeys. The bikes are very heavy though
Had a lovely time in Lewes and am back down there at the start of July so any more reco’s for nice places to see beyond Lewes v welcome.
Had pizza from Rustico and it was great.

Can’t believe I missed this. Was at the garage next to Abyss getting my MOT done in the morning, too early for pints though. Then made it to Beak for an hour in the afternoon, first visit, lovely stuff. Surprising amount of cyclists (most people there were in lycra), good beer, nice weather, tasty squid, probably the most fun I’ve ever had on an industrial estate.

Heading to Lewes for a weekend in a few weeks time, also a kind of ‘might we want to move here?’ type trip (it was a possibility a few years ago and potentially is again now).
Been through this thread which suggests ace food/drink stuff. Think we’ll try and do at least one walk (2-3 hour type thing), any suggestions for that from the DiS Lewes team? Or recent ‘must do’ additions? Cheers
My absolutely favourite (dog) walk in that neck of the woods is Firle Beacon. It’s a couple of miles outside of Lewes, on the other side of the A27, but there’s a free car park near the top. From the car park you can walk west towards the River Ouse, or (my preferred route) east towards Alfriston and the Long Man of Wilmington.

This starts and ends in Lewes and has a couple of train stations in the villages if you want to end it earlier and just train back to Lewes
