Called in sick (dodgy stomach), but still travelling in this morning to help Mrs Z take her laptop to work (she’s not allowed to lift more than a kilo at the moment). Gonna rest up the rest of the day and sort out the animals with the vet.

Think i’m going to be working in an office all alone today so it’s going to take a herculean effort to get anything productive done.

Got an addiction/habit i’m planning on kicking, with today being day one…unlikely to succeed but lets go.

Morning Joke and pals,

I’m in a lot of pain and I think I’ve caught @Avery’s cold too. Supposed to be in work in 40 minutes. Just remembered I am on all day first aid course tomorrow. Strongly considering calling in sick as I feel faint everytime I stand up.
Got anxiety about calling in sick, especially on a Monday but I haven’t had a sick day since Jan 2018 and I am in a lot of pain.

  • You’re not well, call in sick.
  • Your boss will think you’re lying, struggle in.

You’re not pathetic! It’s so easy to become addicted and most of us struggle with some kind of addiction at some point in our lives. You’ve got to retrain your brain :muscle:

Film festival ended yesterday. Was going to go horse riding in the lovely weather today, but still have a cold so just gonna stay in bed with the blinds drawn instead.

Actually going to a family bbq in the afternoon though so will get some sunshine and socialising, just wanted to sound dramatic for a second :sunny::sunny:

Woke up at 06:15 to make coffee for my GF, a change from my usual time of 06:45. I don’t mind this in the summer months but fuck doing this in the winter.

Have spent the morning knee deep in Excel filters. Really need to learn how to use the fucking thing properly.
