maybe those shelves might be ok cause you’ve a dark floor maybe? and maybe that matches? I don’t know if that’s how this sort of thing works. maybe?
I’ve got similar units in my garage. They are pretty industrial tbh
Different floor in the room they’re going in.
Maybe like a tablecloth or something on the top would soften it a bit? Or maybe I could go full industrial in that room. Put a cement mixer feature in it.
Are they wonky, or is it just the way you’ve taken the photo?
Straight as fuck you fuck!
Hello @kermitwormit. This is what I ended up doing shelfwise with my similarly-angled corner wall bit thing:
Haven’t worked out what to put on 'em yet.
Why?
I beg your pardon
Why have you stuck four empty boxes on your wall?
For storage, maosm. And that’s what walls are for.
We’ve got a bunch of scaffolding wood shelves in our gaff because I am industrial as fuck…
Had some built into the old chimney breast alcoves…
Got some gnarly ones for the kitchen too…
Timely thread bump there as my radiator shelf from Dunelm just arrived (going to use it in M’s room to line up little figurines on, but they also deflect heat back into the room). Preeeeeeetty exciting m9s.
I do not remember this thread at all
Put up a shelf yesterday. Most of my books are big and wide so I needed a shelf with depth. Not sure I trust my shelf building to put more on here or turn them so they’re vertical. Vertical books are heavier I reckon.
I had big stylish plans involving wooden dowel supports but it seemed too complicated so I just bought a plank of wood and these bracket things. Planks are cheap. It’s ok for now.
I’ll put another shelf underneath to spread the load.
With four brackets it should be able to take quite a bit of weight.
WE’LL SEE
Joined the ‘reclaimed scaff board’ gang recently;
Used some uprights and twin-slot brackets to take the weight.
Bedroom bookshelves
Kitchen shelves
I have a big area of shelf space by the living room chimney breast but there’s no point putting anything there until I replaster and decorate the room properly, and I can’t do that because of the elderly and rather grumpy animals that mainly live in that room

If you look carefully you can see the surviving half of the pair of glass jar things I own. You will remember that it’s late partner featured in my wonderful “oops I just broke something” thread the other day
