Shower at least every other day and whack a bit of light deodorant on (stuff that doesn’t smell of teenage boy) and that’s all that’s needed surely?

Always thought my effort should go into smelling as little as possible rather than smelling really good?

That and every bloke I’ve met who takes pride in their aftershave has always seemed like a proper berk.

I don’t really have any #bigonions about this one, but too much good smell’s about as bad as having B.O in my opinion. If someone wants to wear a small bit of aftershave regularly, sure, but it’s a fine line. I honestly don’t think you can go wrong with using the olde Lynx Africa spray as a two-in-one, under the pits and a bit on the neck. People always tell me i smell nice and nobody ever thinks it’s Africa, which is bizarre.

Tend to every so often because I’ve accumulated about 6 bottles of the stuff as gifts and they absolutely never seem to diminish

Funnily enough I had a similar reaction from the now thinly-veiled with Africa and pink Joop last year.

special occasions i guess, or if the mood strikes me. the only reason i even own any aftershave is that my mum has a tendency to buy me some at christmas, though she knows now that unlike my brothers it will take me much much more than a year to get through a bottle.

It very much depends on the aftershave/cologne/edt in question. I’d be all over a guy in Guerlain Habit Rouge or Valentino Uomo for example but most aftershaves smell awful. Best to wear none if you have terrible taste in fragrance. Yes, I am a frago-nerd/perfume snob.
