I got this a few weeks ago

It doesn’t cool down a room or anything but it creates a nice wee cool microclimate around where you’re sitting/lying.

We’ve got a tower one on the go, barely makes a dent. I want gorgeous cold air around my face and limbs at all times.

Not feasible because of the stupid hoses that need to go out the window. Our living room doesn’t have windows, just doors, so it’d mean having the door open all the time. The dream is over. Bye.

it is supposed to cool rooms down as low as 18 degrees, but in reality, it does not, it basically relative and will reduce the temperature by 3 degrees max. that does help though, and the air it blows out is chilled so it is nice when you are near it. but my plan to leave it on for a while to cool down a room that has been heating up all day in the evening does not work.

the hose out of the window isn’t too much hassle, you get these window sealing kits

with hindsight I would have just got a high end fan, and a dehumidifier for muggy weather

could just have the hose trailing out the doors. I think the logic of the window seals is that it blows the hot air out and stops warm air coming back in, as it doesnt work that well anyway to cool down the room you could still benefit from the cool air it blows, reckon once it gets hotter inside that outside there is no point to the window seals anyway

A friend has the Dyson one and swears it changed her life, the one that goes hot and cold. That might just be a fan though, I cant remember
