And by ‘no one’, I mean most normal people, not the Malcolms and Cuthberts on this forum, no indie points will be given in this thread.

East Hastings (because of 28 days later)

Was gonna post the Grandstand theme but I guess that’s called the Grandstand theme.

I listened to it just now, wow what a piece of work. Magnificent

Better than anything ‘Beethoven’ or ‘Mozart’ ever came up with that’s for sure.

I’m trying to Google the piece of music that is/was played on radio 1 as the DJ read out the countdown from number 10-2 or whatever.

But I can’t find it because I don’t know what it’s called and googling ‘top 10 charts music’ is surprisingly ineffective

Not sure it’s incredibly famous, but this came on the radio the other day:

I thought I had a good example but perhaps it’s too good an example as I have no idea what it’s called. It’s the go-to song for films and tv whenever there’s a scene in the Jazz Age/Roaring 20s/Prohibition speakeasies - lots of big drums and muted trumpets.

We do, it must be said, all hate Leeds (scum)

I know the one you mean

@El_Merto is this the same thing that they get Alexa to play on NMJ? It could be something from the Renee zellweger Chicago soundtrack!?

I only know this one because of this

I like to think I’m good at knowing the names of these things but there’s one I’ve thought of for this and wouldn’t know where to start looking - it’s kind of similar to Clubbed To Death (The Matrix one) but with a repeated three note synth-horn.
