I’m hardly much of a fan, but the Dandy Warhols to me are best known for this song, almost purely per the way it made them a bit of a household name from Veronica Mars
Well, that’s weird. This song has probably never been mentioned on DiS before and then twice in as many days!
whole album is killer. Still miss them. Such a shame they could’nt sort their shit out.
Came here to post this. Not indie as in lads with guitars but properly indie in spirit. I was on a newsgroup he frequented when this happened. Pretty funny how it all blew up.
The People was just as big I reckon
Seen them in a venue so small I could kiss them if I wanted to.
Just about to post this bugger
Yes, it was very “early internet” wasn’t it? I remember the guy well.
Ha wow! Yeah it never soundtracked a break-up for me, but it’s such a fantastic, bleak song. It was a Lamacq ‘lost 45’ a couple of years back.
Listened to this album a lot for about a week. Then me and my girlfriend of 7 years split up, and now I can’t listen to it without it reminding me of being very sad. Still.
Annoying really, it’s probably still a good listen.
This album is fucking brilliant. Always got the CD close to the stereo.
That’s really ironic considering why the band split up
