Attempting to do an entire Vince Gilligan 6-season character arc in two episodes for Yas was certainly a choice, albeit entirely in keeping with the mad libs style writing of the second half of this season
And that fundraising dinner scene would’ve been really interesting if it had been written by somebody who’d ever seen a movie before
I was more into the competency trading/finance porn of the earlier seasons and there was hardly any of that this season, some of the investigative stuff into Tender was cool though.
Didn’t hate this season but it could have ended last season and that would have been fine
Will watch the next season still
Oh actually I did hate Yas’s acting in this one, not sure if it’s because she’s been next to Kit Harrington and he’s a good actor, but feels like she’s desperately stagey and over the top all the time
I listen to this podcast summary of each episode by two American women, one of whom is an ex trader, and they are great at explaining the finance stuff. But they’ve both been like “No we don’t know anything about UK politics, bring back the business jargon”.
