Infuriating

I’ll do this too, but our crappy system sometimes decides to unilaterally assign every file in a folder the current date as modified date.

2019Q4 rather than just Q4 defends against the inevitable tool who will accidentally move the file somewhere else. But obviously this should be standardised and not just some fucking free for all. This isn’t Russia.

H2?

Think you mean Juldec, mate.

I can’t believe I fully agree with balonz and celebrate his actions

Just imagine how good it feels to be the master of this shit though.

Hate this format

That is the right format though. It might not be aesthetically pleasing but goddamn, it works!

Are they financial years?

I’m gonna print that and put it on the wall and occasionally pretend to refer to it.

Nope. Or yes but they are the same as calendar.

I have never worked anywhere that doesn’t have a financial year that starts on 1st Jan.

I’m pretty sure that Period 14 is just an Excel mistake made by the person who drafted the table.

Had to go to IT once for something once and they chastised my poorly organised desktop and countless files, and said how they would be lost if something went wrong with my laptop (don’t think this is true but IT think they can lie to the normies to encourage behaviour change sometimes), called their bluff, said it was all temporary and they could delete it all righ then and it wouldn’t matter, was a big gamble but no ill effects
