Every week I spend the first 5 minutes of the hour between 2000 and 2100 thinking ‘what the hell is that noise? shut the hell up’ before finally remembering that the country has gone mad

I don’t have Sky, but I noticed that there’s a “Clap For Our Carers” reminder function that is on our Talk Talk box. I’m presuming people just have the telly on and see it.

I didn’t clap last night. I’m getting a bit fatigued with it all tbh.

Most weeks the first I’ve known of it is people posting ‘omg Well done, we’re so great’ on the community fb group or the dog barking because some clown is letting fireworks off.

Had to rush back from a dog walk about 3 weeks ago when I glanced at my phone and saw it was 10 to 8, although I was tempted to treat it as a guard of honour as I walked home.

Goodnight sweet prince

Give them your best GET ARF MY LAAAAAAND

A hastily produced ‘TRESPASSERS WILL BE SHOT’ sign on your gate

impossible to forget here as one of our neighbours plays ‘my heart will go on’ through a speaker a few minutes before 8 every week, then runs into the middle of the street and dances.

I’ll take a video next week (if it’s possible to not get her face in) - last night she danced up and down the street singing ‘thank you NHS’ after the song finished

a language school I worked at had it’s walls painted with various icons from around the world. statue of liberty for America, Sydney opera house for Australia, Eiffel Tower etc.

for Britain, they had a policeman snarling at you.

gonna see if I’ve still got the photo.

Here we go

Same and it seemed like that was the consensus this week, notable drop in energy and enthusiasm

Thanks for participating in the Duck census

I am finding lockdown harder but that’s because I broke my elbow, reckon it would be the same as it was at the start otherwise. I’d just built up a nice routine and set of things to keep me sane and then boom, all gone, and I have to start again. Bit demoralising, but hey, I’ll get it back.

Regarding the public transport question, I’m not going to be out joyriding on buses for the sake of it but will be using the train, etc as I would’ve done before lockdown.

(and tbf, I’m going to be a train driver as of September - subject to change - so not sure where that falls)
