Andy Irvine, Patrick Street, The Chieftians immediately leap to mind.

Best session I’ve ever seen was in a little hut in County Claire.

I remember a few mates of mine were in a band and for a Hallowe’en party they all dressed as the Wolfe Tones and just played Wolfe Tones songs for the night. WILD scenes.

In my previous life as manager of an Irish bar, rebel songs aside, these would always produce the best singing, and coincidentally are the best Pogues songs


Also was a massive Celtic pub so this always went down a storm…
