Morning all!

Wor Lass’s birthday is today so I’m coordinating delivery of food, collection of cakes and making sure she has a nice day.

I need to spend about two hours marking essays today and attend to some planning for next week.

Think you need to wait a few days for the effects of labour/sleepless nights to wear off before you can ask such questions.

According to our kiddo, today is Fruffday, a mixture of Friday and wuff. Here’s some Fruffday merch:

Here’s hoping it goes better than ‘Step Into Tuesday’, which didn’t get eaten until Wednesday, and by me rather than at snack time.

Hola!

Zoom free Friday at work, and teachers not looking at any schoolwork submitted on the school app because they’re getting ready for the kids going back on Monday, so it’s not technically the weekend, but…

I’ve got some records to pick up from Resident later - a whole load of releases that I’ve made orders for all over lockdown are due out today. But I’ve only had emails for two of the orders so far, and you can’t collect the order if it hasn’t been prepared yet, obviously, so hopefully I’ll be able to pick up everything at lunchtime

Happy Fruffday Everybody

Almost got scammed by a royal mail text message still can’t tell if its real or not as it sends to a royal mail Web address that looks legiti. But when I’ve googled royal mail fees and went to the page that way it asks for info i don’t have and it doesn’t look like you’d ever get charged 1.99 either. Must have ripped off loads of people with this.

I got this exact text the other day and assumed scam so ignored it.

I have only had 6 submissions this week and I’m like yesssss that means I don’t have to give feedback to loads, so yeah don’t submit anything

It looks so convincing when you click through. Fucking scammers, makes me think of all the vulnerable people they trick :sob:

Yeah this will be a scam, legit addresses will be .com or .co.uk etc then have a / with the routing

(So if this was a legit one, royalmail.com/package-delivery-fee for example. Although I think their one is ‘fee to pay’)

Scammers are getting better at this stuff though, my mum nearly got done by one the other day and I nearly went for a second by an HSBC one last week

There’s one bit of work where they’ve been asked to say what they’re looking forward to and what they’re worried about going back, dressed up as a handwriting exercise, so that’s fair enough. And then there’s his weekly Teams assembly at 11.30 (where last week the head rambled on about Fair Trade for far longer than a 5 year old’s attention span). And Jimbo needs to finish the video series of him reading one of his new books to his teacher - our next door neighbour is one of the TAs at school and whenever he sends in a video it gets shared amongst all the staff because they find him entertaining.

I hope your school has put in lots of safeguarding for when the kids go back. What are covid rates like round your way?

Oh good knowledge, thanks.

I’m the same as you as well, especially when they nearly got my mum last week, was just thinking about all of the vulnerable people they trick :frowning:
