My favourite thing my mum used to make was called ‘peanut butter things’. It was basically oats, sugar, butter, cocoa powder, vanilla essence, splash of milk and peanut butter. Like a peanut butter flapjack and it was my favourite thing in the world. So, it’s sweet, if you add 8oz of sugar and put it in a flapjack

Of course they have sugar in them. It’s why they taste sweet

Na, it’s fine. I have jars of harissa, miso and thai green curry paste in my cupboard, all of which contain a higher percentage of sugar in them. It’s not unusual to add a bit of sugar when making a tomato based pasta sauce. Are we going to classify all those as sweet too?

It’s savoury, that’s why it complements sweet things so well.

I bet some psychopath on here will say thai green curry is sweet.

In unrelated peanut butter news: this thread inspired me to check the jar at the back of the fridge. It has a best before date of March 2015.

Looks perfectly fine to me, obviously.

You keep it in the fridge??

obviously

Think the clue’s in

“salt 0.0g”

Well it depends on the brand. Some have salt, some have oil, some (bad ones) have SUGAR:
