Tempted to get back into it
Its alright. Not at its best, but hasnât been a particular decline recently. They have been releasing stuff quite infrequently and normally as films/double length episodes though since the pandemic. Think they are signed up to keep doing stuff for quite a while longer.

Yep, some controversy about how they licenced stuff to different platforms, and who had rights for future âepisodesâ. I think the new specials/films, rather than standard seasons, is at least partly related to that. Donât think it has been properly resolved yet, but I donât think it has stopped production or anything. The figures for the licence deals are amazing though (like around $1b).

I donât really agree. They do sometimes slide too far towards the edgelord/two sidesing everything, and they certainly can be out of touch as rich, white âliberalâ americans (i.e. like Itâs Always Sunny can be). Plus, their âthingâ that they satirise all sides, doesnât always look great and can certainly sometimes feel like punching down.
However, I think generally their politics arenât terrible or at least are vaguely progressive. Understand why some people donât enjoy it though, and would have your general view about them.

The seasons 1-10 are my problematic faves. It started getting shit when every episode ended like a splatter film for no apparent reason other than they ran out of ideas.
And yeah sometimes it can be kind of enlightened, other times their message is atrocious.
