Palace really get through managers, huh.

There are no great British managers though, so you might as well give it to the shite you know

Fuck knows but we’ve a play-off to lose! Your lot will qualify again, probably when they go up to 48 teams! @safetywink

is there a reason why irish stadiums have that weird sloped stand at the end? I remember the old landsdowne road stadium had it, the aviva stadium has it, and croker has it too. just a co-incidence?

Well anyway, I always adopt Ireland once we get papped, I mean us Scots and the Irish are basically the same

Lansdowne and the Aviva had/have it because of houses behind that stand. If the stadium was built up at that point they’d never get natural light.

That stand in Croke Park is Hill 16 and is the home of Dublin fans. When they were redeveloping the stadium the GAA wanted to make it all seated and integrated with the rest of the stadium but the Dublin fans threw a wobbler and it remained as a terrace. It’s also next to a railway line so they can’t build it up too much.

Africa qualifying all settled:
Egypt (first WC since 1990)
Morocco (first WC since 1998)
Senegal (first WC since 2002)
Tunisia (first WC since 2006)
Nigeria

We are indeed. Always rooting for the Scots.

ahh I see. I don’t know of any other stadium that has that sort of configuration though, so its pretty cool.

M8 you could download and watch not one but two humdinger playoffs featuring the pride of the South Pacific against the pride of the Americas. (*actual dingers may not hum)

Yeah, it’s a pretty distinctive feature. Being in that stand is probably one of the maddest experiences you can have as a fan. If Dublin are playing in an All Ireland Final you can guarantee everyone will be fucked up and causing havoc in Hill 16. So intense.
