Bit unsure about the scoring thing. I know pals who weren’t able to afford much free booze coz you know, they’re not minted, and it was the absolute best.

Leave it to DiS to start trying to outrank each other’s wedding days

the only things that matter at a wedding are free booze and good food…and the couples happiness or something I don’t care

It’s A LOT cheaper in the States because they have no idea how much a British wedding party has the capacity to put away

I hope no-one is taking my list in any way seriously! :smiley:I am not a professional wedding planner!

Yeah I don’t have any problem with having to pay at a wedding.

Have a problem if I have to pay AND its spenny though.

Pal got loads and loads of crates of magic rock cans and shifted them for cost price at their wedding and it was perfect (£1.50 a can or something) . Makeshift bar doing the same thing for spirits and mixers. Got absolutely cunted off about £20. No complaints

I think my favourite wedding I have been to cost me an absolute fortune in drinks but it was just brilliant and joyous and everyone had an amazing time so y’know its not supposed to be an exact roadmap!

So much this^^^

I’m just scoring my own according to budgie’s requirements. Getting everyone pissed was a priority.

The sight of about twenty of my friends rushing for the free beer fridge the instant I told them we were wrapping it up will live with me forever.

haven’t yet been to a free-booze wedding and the concept of it sounds outrageous to me.

Yeah I gets ya. Just thought I’d mention now coz it’ll go down a bit of a certain route just naturally otherwise - know that’s not what you col or hyg intended tho

This thread has gone quite well. It’d be a shame if we couldn’t top it off with a traditional massive argument!

My excuse is today is the anniversary of my stag do. Does anyone have any imaginative tales of things their friends/relatives have given their other halves for their paper anniversary?

The bill I paid just after that pile on to the beer fridge was a shade over a grand, but that did include a three course meal for about twenty people earlier as well. I can’t remember what we paid for any of the ceremony stuff, but given it costs several hundred pounds to get a Lewisham registrar to leave the office it’s best to try not to think about it.

All in I think 7k - would have been cheaper but getting french family over got a bit pricey

Has anyone ever been to a spooky wedding?

Halloweedding

No, a spooky wedding. Different things.

I can’t remember exactly, it was 14 years ago (!), but somewhere in the region of 2k I think.
