West Ham is in East London, but itâs not in the East End, as itâs East of the River Lea, and therefore traditionally part of Essex, before the administrative borders of London were expanded.
The East End is the area between the City of London and the River Lea.
Lots of people who live in West Ham (and other areas of East London and also Essex), would call themselves Eastenders though, as thatâs where many of them have family origins.
