Is West Hampstead West Ham?

Oohhh

Complete system failure isn’t it.

SU6152 is a miles better name

They’re both now part of Newham also. It’s more electable.

So the answer to “what’s west of West Ham?” is Ham.

Oldham! I’ve heard of that

I think everywhere is West of West Ham eventually. But I may be mixing it up with somewhere else.

Not anything directly north or south

Again, no.

West Ham is in East London, but it’s not in the East End, as it’s East of the River Lea, and therefore traditionally part of Essex, before the administrative borders of London were expanded.

The East End is the area between the City of London and the River Lea.

Lots of people who live in West Ham (and other areas of East London and also Essex), would call themselves Eastenders though, as that’s where many of them have family origins.

All clear, isn’t it?

I used to quite like Ham. Somehow used to feel like it was in the middle of nowhere. Might still I just haven’t been for years
