They’ve been telling him stop calling himself that and stick to the official title of “Prime Minister”.

I pretty sure she isn’t anymore than all bosses are tories

As I’ve said before my boss is a (white) South African. On the one hand I’m absolutely certain he’s not a tory. On the other I still very much don’t want to interrogate his politics more deeply.

Read this and initially got confused thinking it was Ron Jeremy.
It’s early and I need coffee.

My boss is more left-wing than I am. I’m more left-wing than the 2 people I manage. The system works!

When I first read it my brain registered it as ‘Ru Paul’s house’

literally the same, he doesn’t really talk politics but to work where we do, it’s pretty unusual to be a tory. i think we’ve got one confirmed in our dept? and he’s very shy about it. my boss did say he’d like to be a landlord once, so maybe LD?

Not onboard with this view (mainly because as Head of a department myself I guess I might count as a boss and I would hate anyone to think I was a Tory!) I mean Corbyn could count as a ‘Boss’ and it would be a stretch to call him a tory.

Last place I worked everyone top to bottom was labour, a few Lib Dem (Who were actually labour supporters but didn’t like Corbyn) or green except for one guy who very proudly was a Tory, came in wearing a blue rosette during the last election, always had a copy of the daily mail too. He was also a scouser which made even less sense to me.

If my boss was claiming to not be a Tory I’d ask them to give everyone the same wage and have rotating job roles and make all decisions democratically. If they say no they’ve outed themselves as Tory.

Asked my ceo if he was doing anything nice on the weekend once. He said;
“Meeting some old friends from uni that I see every year and we’re going to see billy bragg. The bloody socialist”
Lives in a massive house in Harrogate. Always puts my expenses through with alcohol though which isn’t allowed so he’s alright by me

Tories love abusing expenses.

are we all taking about uber-bosses here then? Cos your department head wouldn’t have anything like the power to be able to do that.

they can join the fight :fist:

Is it as big as Billy’s though?

My boss is extremely Tory. I’m pretty certain only two other people in the company support Labour.

To what extent do you actually believe this to be true though? That a cleaner and a surgeon in a hospital should be able to swap roles and have the same pay? An extreme example but I’m curious. I don’t think most people who vote non-Tory would agree with you btw.

same pay yeah.

It’d be nice for the cleaner to get the training to be a surgeon if they wanted it and vice versa. I don’t think it’s an idea that works as well in healthcare.

Btw I don’t necessarily disagree that most job roles should be more standardised in terms of stress, hours, responsibility and therefore pay but I just don’t see how it’s possible to get from where we are to making that happen.
