You can buy Kindles with “Special Offers” (adverts as the screensaver instead of nice patterned wallpaper) at a slightly reduced price, which is what I did, unwittingly. But it’s okay because you can go onto Amazon and then click Unsubscribe from Special Offers, for a tenner. Except you do that, and it says Unsubscribe Pending, the process will complete when your Kindle is connected to WiFi. This is bollocks, nothing happens.

So then you go on Chat a month later and say I can’t get rid of the Special Offers m8, it gets stuck on Unsubscribe Pending. And they’re like haha aww, okay seeing as you’re a valued customer I’ll get rid of them for you for free, you don’t have to pay a tenner. Deregister and Register your device please and check if they’re still there. Done that, they’re still there… but all my books have disappeared. What have you done with my books Vomesh? You’ll have to factory reset it, lol. Do that and give it a few hours for the Special Offers to be removed. Did that, left it overnight and they’re still there. Thanks for reading.
