Would have agreed with this before ‘Closing Threads’-gate, but that was such a clusterfuck that it’s hard to see how making her a mod would be a positive thing in its wake. Whether it was malicious or simply negligent/bloody-minded her posting (and at times lack thereof) in that thread caused significant mental distress to another poster who, as far as I can tell, had not done anything to merit that treatment. As much as I think Em was generally one of the better posters for calling out misogyny and racism on the forums, making her a mod would be pretty insulting to the other poster in question (and arguably send a bad message in general)
Of course, all of the above speaks as if making her a mod were even a possibility - as others have mentioned, she blocked herself (I realise that you didn’t know this when you made the suggestion). Still really confused and a bit irked about that one
