Second day of being awake before 730 for no good reason, gross
Work, off for Japanese food and beer, then seeing Monster. Solid day if I can drag myself through it

Feeling absolutely dreadful. Got whatever cold virus mini had last week. Hot and cold, runny nose, headache, body aching, sore throat, the works. Rang in sick to work and my mums coming over at 11am to help with mini and so I can rest for a bit.
So yeh, my day is just muddling through and probably feeling a bit sorry for myself tbh.

Morning, feeling quite bloated this week so can’t really take advantage of the hotel breakfast.

Slept for 9hrs for the first time in a long old while. That’s what being tired and sleeping in a hotel can do I suppose.
Just had hotel breakfast and now I’m full up again. Off to the coast soon for a day catching up with Essex based colleagues then the long slog home after

Conference was absolutely smashing yesterday, so pleased with it. Full house, all the sessions were really interesting, no complaints.
Working this morning and then I’m off on a mini-cruise to Amsterdam later today.

Up at 5.45 for baking duties, watched a bit of ‘The Signal’ (german netflix thing) over toast and coffee. At work now. Rock and roll.
I feel a bit “without portfolio” now that we’re all safely in the Real Daylight Zone. Nevertheless, morning all 
I woke up at 3am with such a bad headache that it had been recurring in my dream. It seems to be fading but was pretty unpleasant. Got a series of annoying tasks to complete today, so had better piss around on community.drownedinsound.com all day get on with some of them.

Morning I am clean. Hopefully last day of the bathroom build just some bits and bobs to finish. But the shower is done so I am so fucking clean.

Just waiting for the carpet fitters to arrive.
After 3 months and 2 weeks of walking around on concrete, today is the day we get carpet and flooring back downstairs. Incredibly excited.

That does mean that I’m on the hook for the school runs, and I might have to take his lordship swimming later too.
Still haven’t booked a holiday yet, because I got so annoyed with easyjet and all their extra charges last night. I’ll try again at some point today.

Maccys, tesco and sainsburys were hit last week.
Off to Leeds for work in a few hours, got a team meal which will be nice but tbh I’d rather take advantage of a quiet hotel room and just lie in bed with a few beers and some shite on Netflix.
In 30 minutes I am going to book tickets to see a death metal band on Halloween in Bristol. I will be 39 years old by the time of the gig.

Dropped the toddler off at nursery using the trailer + bike rather than car and it was glorious tbh, can’t wait for summer bike trailer adventures!
Got fibre internets being installed this afternoon. And I have a virtual “bootcamp” to attend

It’s the equinox! Blessed ostara!
This afternoon we have the give notice to marry appointment, we are worried in case they choose the path of transphobia, I hope they don’t. I might wear a dress to conform to their notions of acceptable femininity and receive nicer treatment.
Both cats sat on my legs and belly at the same time this morning. Usually they refuse to be on the bed at the same time, I think that must be a good omen.
