Had a day off and spent the morning digging in the garden, so it’s now a day of assal horizontology. Started The Dark Tower IV: Wizard & Glass, gonna cook harissa chicken later, might have a gin or a wanker beer. Not a Deya wanker beer tho, cos the lazy arsed Local Delivery Driver dropped off my parcel at work cos he can’t be bothered driving up my track of late. I’m on holiday, pal

Off to the football. The old man is on a beach in Barbados, so I’ve stopped for a couple of solo pints at Cherry Reds in Brum on the way.
Football is best on a wintry, midweek night imo.
Had some jerk chicken and sweet potato fries as an early dinner at about 4 - got a bit of chicken left as a snack when I get home at about 11.

Needed an excuse to eat two for one pizzas, so decided it’s my anti-American birthday (for those, unfamiliar with the concept, May 12th is my American birthday) and went to Pizza Manifesto in Clapham. Really, really good stuff, they even had garlic butter as a dip. Heading back to RDG now, on what might well be peak fare train with off peak tickets, #thatsincredible drinks this evening, imo.

Got a place writing workshop with John Grindrod starting at 7pm, exactly M’s bedtime.
I’m afraid not everyone has an American birthday. We all have our anti-american one though, or vice versa, if you’re American.
Edit: just realised my post autocorrected. I’ve fixed it now.
Wife has COVID. I was going to a 2 day work offsite tomorrow (was looking forward to a break tbh) but now barely gonna leave the house. Joy of joys for all of us!

Evening all!
I had a long day sculpting the young minds of Glasgow and I will be doing the same again tomorrow. I’ve even got to do some planning tonight because my Maths colleague is off stress and they’ve had to move my class to allow for cover.
Not sure what else is happening tonight other than bedtime. I was awake at 3.50 this morning so could probably do with an earlier night.
