Man it’s been almost a year since I did a Springsteen halloween set (I was van zandt). Born to Run was harder to learn than I anticipated.

Got a relatively funny ‘friend of a friend’ anecdote

Friend of my dad’s was taking his wife out for a special anniversary dinner in a posh restaurant in Dublin. They heard from the waiters when they were there that there was a private party in the other room, eventually it transpired that it was Bono’s birthday party and there were loads of celebs in attendance. My dad’s pal’s wife goes out for a smoke at one stage and gets chatting to someone from the party. Eventually convinces him to get Bono out for a pic with her and her husband for their anniversary. Calls the husband out for the pic, he sees who she’s just asked to go retrieve Bono for the pic and is mortified. They sit back down and he goes “did you just ask that guy to go back to the party and get Bono to come out for a pic?” She goes “yeah why?” He goes “That guy was Bruce Springsteen!”
