Morning! Was going to watch Frasier but can’t really be doing with these later episodes. Looking forward to it ticking back over tomorrow!

Listening to that new Nicolas Jaar album at the moment. It’s really showing up how crappy my speakers are  Might save up for some new ones later in the year.

I’ll do them for you. My cut is 100%.

Morning everyone.

Finally rebooted my podcast with a new episode. I’m JAGing it here because I’ve popped a @Bamnan track on it with some heartfelt words on the man, and he deserves the exposure.

There’s a DiS Ambient Listening Club episode coming up this Thursday.

In other news wife is battling general lurgy and feeling shitty, so I spent yesterday cleaning the house and getting the week ready. Hopefully something ends up panning out It was a job interview for a new job back in a city I like more than where we live right now so I want that to come in. God a few other irons in the fire.

Reasonably tempting, I’m more concerned about getting a bollocking for not doing them than anything.

some really beautiful stuff on here, I can’t remember the name but there’s one three or four tracks in that’s piano with some slow violin that’s gorgeous.

I’ve had to create a spreadsheet to track all my claims otherwise I have no idea what I’ve actually been paid.

Yeah, that (I think) is Slow Meadow. Seriously, check out their album from last year, Costero. It’s beautiful.

Half day from work this morning after seeing Big Bad Bon Iver in front of a sold out audience last night (quite good, few glaring omissions from the set list and his light show is a bit Coldplay these days).

On a train back to Bristol atm. A day train on a workday is one of life’s most underrated luxuries. Not usually a morning threader either but the only other thread with any traction at the moment looks like it might be a bit beevey.

Not just Streatham. Pretty much all over south London and some of North London too. Ours went off last night (Sydenham), luckily just after I’d done the washing up on a really pan-intensive dinner. Then when I got up this morning I tried the bathroom tap, it ran so I had a quick swig of water and went back to bed. An hour later the supply goes off again and I feel like a right prong. Was still off when I came into work, but fingers crossed there’ll be something this evening.

Thames Water are amazingly shit. I’m surprised this hasn’t made the news more to be honest. Not because it’s London, but because this is an open goal to batter the bastards.

Scratch that, there are doughnuts in the kitchen.

I used to work near St Paul’s and I never ever got tired of looking at that building

Still in bed. Going to see Therapy? Do the hits in Milk and Beans later.

Morning all. Today has been flipping bananas in work, lots of weather related problems to deal with for our social housing tenants.

Gig went well last night, the band I sat in with were delighted with my playing. Felt good playing with such amazing musicians. Smoking doobs on stage is never not fun too.

thanks will check this out later!

MONDAY. I was pretty pleased to make it into the office today as I had a major dose of cabin fever from being snowed in.

Also, my baby got really sick on Friday (fever of 40+, febrile seizure -like symptoms.) Nae chance an ambulance would have got to us quickly in the 4 foot snow drifts. God bless my 79 year old dad for coming and digging us out and driving us in his wellies in his big tank-like car to the GP surgery.

God bless our GP, who is an old school friend of mine and who was so fantastic and attentive, and who went against the usual advice of punting us off to hospital to ‘be safe’, by trusting me to have the wherewithall to care for him at home with strong antibiotics and fever reducing meds, and fluids, and hourly hydration and temperature checks. I am fucking exhausted but we managed to keep him out of hospital and he’s really improving already.

God bless God because I said more prayers in that hour of my life on Friday than I think I’ve ever done, even when he was poorly after being born.

Got a pretty busy week at work coming up, including a brilliant conference for female investors and entrepreneurs on Thursday that I’m really v excite about.
No dread levels for me this week, although I will be much happier once the snow is properly gone.
