It's National Cupcake Week

‘Organised by British Baker magazine, it celebrates the gloriously sweet bundles of joy that are cupcakes!’

Cupcakes are as dead as pulled pork. When was the last time you had one? They’re never anything other than really sweet icing and a pretty boring bit of sponge.

On a related note, who decides these national days and weeks?

bought a box of fondant fancies the other week. dead sweet and not really for me.

that’s all I’ve got maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan

Shit muffins for twee cunts.

Probably take a Kipling over a Hummingbird tbh.

The last time I had one was in New York City from the Magnolia Bakery. It was a red velvet with cream cheese icing and it was quite possibly the best cupcake I’ve ever had.

Also Talk Like A Pirate Day today, yarr.

Damning with faint praise.

aye, not something to get particularly excited about, is it

just a fucking small cake, after all

I’ve had a lot of cupcakes alright!

can’t remember the last time i had a cupcake that wasn’t one of those genius ones.

NE vegans and coeliacs etc. - fully recommend ‘the lily tree bakery’, based in newcastle but they do festivals and markets from north northumberland to teeside and are :+1:
