I used to hate this when I played hockey— you’re absolutely fine UNTIL you have to come off the pitch.
Anyway, gwan yersel, lassie, and play your socks off xx

Where did you get your Malaysian? I absolutely love that place on bath st that looks like a factory canteen.

How was the open day- do you think he’ll apply?

I am procrastinating from getting Dressed. I need to be at the garden centre in half an hour.

Vegan place Suissi in Patrick. Probably more pan Asian but highly recommend but the chef is Malaysian.

Ah never been in that place but just had a look the menu and has a fair few vegan options (including vegan prawns which sounds weird).

Julie’s Kopitiam on the southside is good.

Yeah I think he will. He liked it. He was worried it might be too posh, but there are self-catered colleges now, so you can choose how formal an experience you want to have.

He’s applying to Cambridge too, so he has the same anxiety about that. I have one friend who went there from a state school, and he has been encouraging, so I hope he’ll give it a go. But at the end of the day it’s totally up to him, it’s his life.

I want to make banana fucking bread.

Back from running 12 miles in the torrential rain and thunderstorm, ngl pretty horrendous stuff but worth it for the cheery solidarity with other runners along the canal :running_woman:t3:

Wrapped up in my dressing gown now. Plans for the afternoon involve a hot bath, scary films and gnocchi :star_struck:

Cheers!

Note the upcoming final day of summer Sunday dinner thread being crafted by that gnome. (shit! Think she’s lost her draft, and is in no way impressed.)

I went to oxford from a rough state school in rough Scottish town- I survived! (I even enjoyed it).
It sounds like he has good options!

Dragged myself off to the supermarket to do my shopping before lunchtime like a proper grownup. Quite proud of myself really. Now I’m celebrating with a pasta salad, prawn cocktail crisps and the last bottle of vanilla coke in the shop which is a bit of a win.
