First day of the Easter holidays, first day of ten days off, and we’re heading to Belgium had my usual restless night imagining all the travel calamities that could befall us but I think everything seems to be going to plan.
Got a pal and her toddler coming down to visit for a couple of days today. Need to clean the bathrooms, hoover downstairs and tidy the mess up before picking her up.
First day of Spring Break(!) for me. We’re watching Roblox videos on YouTube (which is actually what terrible parenting looks like). She’s also been promised Easter egg pieces for breakfast.
The Child’s horrible ex-friend isn’t coming back to drama so we’re hopefully avoiding any of the bad drama she was often responsible for. It’s Shakespeare day and it’s always quite nice seeing her enthusiasm for whatever they’ve done.
Wor Lass and I are out tonight for her friend’s birthday drinks.
Morning troops, youngest was sick at the tail end of the week which means that they are now well, but the rest of the house is coming under the sickness, myself included.
As such, it’ll be eggs and toast and a run to the bakery later. For sure.
Just boiling the kettle for a coffee and abiut to play Forza with my kids
Just woken by the cat manically attacking my bedroom door for feeding. I’d been getting up early for the builders and I think she’s got used to the new routine.
This morning will consist of tidying up the house now the builders are practically done. They still haven’t asked for payment which is weird. There is still a small amount of painting to finish, but I’m in no rush so whatever suits them.
Then I’m off to Selhurst for Palace v Leicester followed by heading straight to Bromley to see An Inspector Calls at the theatre and a visit to the Bromley Wetherspoons.
