What does the letter say?

Annoying isn’t it.

Tendency to book lunchtime meetings correlates strongly with self-importance. If it’s really the only time the meeting arranger can manage, at least apologise in advance and check with people in person.

Dear jovial lads,

Stop it please. No worries if not.

Yours sincerely

Says I am writing about the noise from their flat, I’ve not raised it before as I was hoping soundproofing would fix it but it hasn’t, my three issues are computer games explosions that can be heard in every room of my flat, frequent shouting (often aggressive swearing), and noise after 11pm. Go on to cite last Thursday when computer games explosions went on until 2am (only one of the lads was there so I’m trying a divide and conquer strategy), cite the noise act. Say if they want to throw the occasional party past 11 that is ok but let me know first. Acknowledged noise probably goes both ways but point out I only turn things up when I’m being disturbed and say I think it would be more pleasant for everyone if we all kept to a moderate volume.

Might have been a bit much but 15 months of pent up rage

I’m absolutely shattered. I didn’t get home from work until 10 last last night and I’m back already.

Tonight I’m taking the nephew to a gig (PUP at the Electric Ballroom), so that should be good. Day off tomorrow.

6/10 - pretty sure I got marked down for not thinking everyone else is moral. If anything, I’d say that was the principled position, but hey ho

Also, and I don’t want to be a dick, but I’ve been told on more than one occasion that I’m moral to the point of my own detriment! Maybe I should just stop hanging out with pirates and roustabouts, idk

Hope it improves things for you

Took the day off yesterday as I still have ten days to use before Christmas. Means I have two days work to do today instead. Sympathising with @fappable that taking time off shouldn’t cause you more stress.

Yeah hopefully. Already decided this flat is a write off, don’t want to spend any more money on making it nice, going to move to somewhere Part E compliant, just have to endure it for a few years

Morning Rob, All,

Been a while since I’ve posted in a daily thread. Stupid Autumn!

It’s my friday today. Was going to go into the office. Not been in for 4 weeks and have a meeting later, but it’s a Skype meeting and even though my boss will be on it, I’m sure my input can be delivered over the phone.

Also going to see PUP tonight (and tomorrow in Bristol too, in fact), so that’s very exciting.

Popped out at half seven to get milk. realised at the bottom of the road that I could only get organic milk from Lidl so went down to Lidl only to re-discover they don’t even open until 8am. fuck that for a bag of ducks. Wasn’t going to wait around so had to pop to a local shop. When we first moved in to this house, we used to frequently get cheap wine from that same local shop. I swear they do not like us any more as we no longer buy our wine from their any more. so embarrassing.

Probably my last day in this job maybe? Got a 4,000 calorie toblerone :grimacing:, some truffles, a bottle of wine, and Pets at Home vouchers. And a very lovely ‘thank you’ card from a very young colleague I’ve been working with over the past few months (unofficially training them in the role).

Didn’t expect anything as it’s all very last minute and the date isn’t finalised, so was a very nice surprise.

Less than three hours left :tada:

In my comfy hotel bed with a can of lemon san pellegrino from the mini bar and watching frasier :grinning::+1:

Yeah I had to ring yesterday afternoon by two to say I’m not coming in today and then still ring the h*ed at 6.30am to say I’m not coming in today.
So ive had shit sleep/ anxiety dreams and am now already dreading the afternoon call I have to do today. Baffling that I was having to discuss cover at 6.30am as if I’m in the wrong when the point of ringing yesterday was to sort it…
I already know I’m gonna have to go in tomorrow just to avoid all this stress again and they wonder why I had a break down on Tues because of the rigamarole you have to go through.

And now I’ve got this in my head

“Lynn, Lynn - I’ve been eating a lot of toblerone”

Yeah that’s really not fair at all. Try and shut it out if you can and hope you feel better soon.

i have made this very mistake in the search for milk

5/10 altho I pressed the wrong one on one and it would have been 6/10

It turned up 20 mins late, but if there are no further delays I should get there with a bit of time to spare

Sitting at a table with some intense Elvis fans
