Been a few times, thought it was shit.

Went for a work Christmas do one year though and it was a seafood-heavy buffet that was nothing like their normal menu and was actually pretty good.

Pfft I can make those with my eyes closed

Went to nandos for the first time in ages cause I had to grab something on expenses on my own before meeting yer man tuna for a drink. It was fine, but really overpriced for what it was. Don’t get it

Very expensive for pretty average food. Service was good though, and the food was still enjoyable at least

One of my close friends works for them and got us a good discount last time we all went so sad to see them go!

But who actually goes out to any restaurant and orders pasta? You’ve got to hate everything else on the menu before resort to having pasta

I for one absolutely cannot be arsed with making fresh pasta at home

Someone who was round for dinner yesterday complimented the rice and how well cooked it was and asked how we’d done it and I had to say though gritted teeth that it’s the Jamie Oliver method.

honestly, if I was going to an italian restaurant and not eating pizza, some sort of pasta thing would be expected.

A properly good pasta place is a wonderful thing. Gunna stick my neck out and say that Jamie’s Italian wasn’t that though

Oh I think the reason it’s shutting is because there is so much better for the same price or cheaper! Especially in Cardiff.

Poke bowl is the 21st centurys biggest crime imho

Oooh got asparagus and mushrooms in so might make a risotto and it will be better than Jamie’s

I think the main reason they’re closing is that ‘Jamie’s Italian’ is a fucking shit name for an Italian restaurant. Need an italian name in there, paisan.

Do you think that Italian chains struggle disproportionately suffer because It’s one of the more accessible cuisines to attempt at home?

What else are you gonna have for your primi?

went to the Jamie’s Italian at Westfield a few years ago with my mum and sister, went for the burger. it was extremely bland, mum and sister weren’t overly impressed either iirc, haven’t gone back since and don’t see any reason to change that.
