Saw that for the first time recently, loved it. Supposedly ‘Red’ is the best. I’m sure DIS film nerds can say otherwise tho.

It’s awful, and it’s funny how quickly having Duffy in the ‘classic albums’ bit at the end dated

Aye the fact he had to spend one of his final roles in it! (And was the only convincing thing about it to boot)

But yeah, it’s attitude towards Women, Homosexuals and people of colour is well off and meanwhile a great talent like Kenneth Branagh is subjected to playing a one note evil twat.

That isn’t to say there aren’t some fun lines in it and the soundtrack/costume/feel isn’t great but the narrative and attitudes are gross for the sake of replicating the non-p.c yet “free” 60s

But the bad guy’s assistant is called Twatt, it’s so funny!

Apparently he was originally meant to be called cunt but then the film would have to be an 18!! LOL!!

The only cunt is Rhys Ifans.
And the writer and director.

Spies in Disguise - Disappointingly straightforward for a film with such an absolutely wild premise. It was fine though.

Free cinema ticket (knives out) and a free can of beer (lukas) for me tonight. What a time to be alive

That ending tho

Robbie Collins lays into Jojo Rabbit quite hard on the Kermode / Mayo show this week

Knives out was fine I guess. Sort of thing I’d probs have really liked of I’d stumbled across it on the telly on a Sunday afternoon.

Oh god yeah that was so tough

(includes new films from David Fincher and Spike Lee)

Can’t wait to see it

The government should have worked that out at the start.
