Yeah I felt like Brexit really was the thing that differentiated them from from the other populist right wing parties. That said, with UKIP tacking even further to the right than they were before, I could see them maybe turning into something like the five star movement.

Thanks for the badge mods but as people I know and love are getting literally deported I’m not having that stat as some kind of proof the UK doesn’t have a fucking strict system so fuck off cheers

why do we have a guy on here whose job it is to bully people into submission by googling facts and everyone cheers it on?

I’ve never seen him speak and not thought he came across as a bit of a bellend. Don’t have any issue with his politics but (IMO) he’s a dreadful fit for such a public role.

it’s not how you engage with people is it, listen to what they are saying and discuss it with them if they are like long time members of this community, don’t just go “hah look here’s some cold data that shows you are being an idiot!”

Kind of have an issue with seeing EU freedom of movement called unrestricted migration, it is specifically free movement of labour and more specifically labour within the private sector.

also fucked up to have one guy who is the policeman of truth to explain everything to people and force everyone into a tit for tat on pedantic definitional arguments

Okay but it’s pretty linear

I guess I’ll pipe up with my semi regular “I live in a different country because my wife is not allowed in the UK” thing

See tricklenipples post tbh. It mischaracterised my point and ignores a lot of hardship but I know it wasn’t done with malice or we

also probably contributed to why a lot of people feel they can’t get involved with any discussion they don’t know 100% about when they are going to get this kind of ritualistic shaming

To workers not people as @wewerewerewolvesonce said. I think it’s a really important distinction

Next track is likely to be part of my planned album which centres on samples of our baby. So it would work as a title

In many ways it’s been a highly contradictory policy for that reason - vastly open to a large, but privileged group and yet at the same time one of the toughest regimes around.

It’s a policy based on the movement of capital not freedom of people.
I’m sounding proper lexity here but the freedom of movement is more for capital than people. It’s just a lucky side effect that the privileged few (looking at it from a British perspective) get to go work somewhere else.

Edit and @anon76851889 posted similar before me :grinning:
