Morning ccb and et al!

I’m not feeling overjoyed at being up and at them this morning. No particular reason but I don’t think I slept well and I think I might finally have caught a case of the Januarys (not sure if this is a thing but it absolutely shouldn’t be).

It should be quite a straightforward day at work but I’ve got to stick around for a meeting at 4.00 because I can’t get home before it starts.

Morning,

Not the best night sleep, but not the worst either. Still laid up but on the mend.

Cold and sunny here today. Had a scone with butter and a coffee for breakfast.

Not much to report. Playgroup this morning then my mums coming over.

Struggling to get out of bed again

I’m being interviewed for a two month secondment this morning, seems an utter waste of time and resources to interview for something so short term.

Having a bit of a lie in on the only day I can in the first week since about 2019 that I’ll be in the office every day

Had an early morning walk in an attempt to drop off a parcel at a UPS access point but the place was closed

Currently doing some work admin whilst Prometheus is in in the background and I wait to see if I can get an offer on sky internet that matches prices elsewhere. Highly doubt it, the AI chat support bot they have is shockingly bad.

Morning!

First gig of the year tonight, which I’m very excited about. It’s been over a month since I saw any live music, and I think my body is in withdrawal

Off to see the original Nosferatu followed by Shadow of the Vampire tonight. If I manage to ask my Big Question™, that’ll be a nice reward and if not, it’ll still be a nice way to spend the evening. After a swim and probably some pub food for dinner

Lovely bright morning here. Need to do a walkrun today, was thinking of going this afternoon when I have more time but maybe I’ll go shortly…

Some of my children have moved into the new flat

Morning DiS!

Same as every other day at the moment; job hunting. Why are people asking for NI number on an application form? Not having mine; seems dodgy.

Went for early walk; light was fab.

was there a dreams thread somewhere? not the dreams about DiSers one

woke up from an intense, deep, and very filmic one which seemed to spiral in on itself, if anyone’s ever had such a dream

was a handful of characters trying to run away and hide from relentless searching

@raincoat , @mellow , any other dream discussers??

Currently sat in the Radiology department. Gnome was meant to be booked in for an X-ray and ultrasound, but has only been referred for the former, which is probably the less useful one. She’s now on the phone trying to track down the ultrasound.

morning magic hours always felt more beguiling than evening ones to me. something to do with a just-awoken brain, maybe

oh no, is she okay?

Maybe to make sure that you’re registered for employment in the UK, and that they won’t have an absolute nightmare offering someone a job, thinking they’ve filled the role, only to find that they’ll have loads of hoops to jump through before they can work here?

Yeah, probably.

Advice seems to be not to give NI numbers out at initial application stage, but I dunno. Not sure how dangerous it is really.

Plans for a bike ride are in tatters again, due to a persistent case of ‘cba-itis’

Going to take the small animal for a long walk instead. Nice cold, clear day for it.
