You can imagine him spending the early afternoon burnishing this take. He probably had a bath then put a suit on to post it

He 100% has a round bed and a mirrored ceiling

We are normalisation.

Why are prison suicides at a record level in the UK though?

It’s because they’re deemed to be an acceptable consequence of the drive towards the erosion of public funding of the judicial system.

it isn’t a ā€œconspiracy theoryā€ when everything is out there and documented. a wealthy paedophile trafficked child sex slaves to other powerful men, politicians and at least one member of the UK royal family, with the protection and possibly at the direction of intelligence services including the CIA and mossad. he colluded with representatives from trans national corporations and private military contractors such as dyncorp and blackwater to facilitate the smuggling and sale and rape of girls as young as ten to members of the ruling elite. people connected to the case have died in mysterious circumstances or completely disappeared without trace, amongst them a judge and the woman who pimped and abused the children alongside epstein. and now he has ā€œcommitted suicideā€ the day a cache of documents is released confirming much of what was suspected and hinting at more to come.

that^ is only the stuff i can summarise offhand from drunken memory. there’s much, much more besides, and there’s the very real and horrifying possibility that there are still victims imprisoned at one of his lairs or possibly being disposed of now to prevent further damaging information coming to light. and the victims we do know of who came forward have simultaneously been denied justice and have received a very clear message that they are not safe and will have to live the rest of their lives in terror.

(TBF to Zygotic I also think it’s reductive to pick the most ludicrous and lightweight conspiracy theory around to make this comparison.)

Was on a train when I found out he committed suicide… had to try and explain it to two people with me and I sounded absolutely insane :confused:

You have to broach the topic of Epstein carefully with people in order to not sound like a lunatic. I’ve developed a bullet points system which starts with his early career.

ā€˜He created his own financial consultancy firm, and nobody knows where his money came from. One of his billionaire clients gave him a mansion and power of attorney over him for no reason…’

As said, it’s difficult.

Me explaining Epstein in work

I had this last week, tried talking about it in work and was dismissed out of hand - mainly thanks to the Carl Beech stuff all being in the news.

Might be a bit different this week though

there were like 2 million tweets mentioning him yesterday, plus all the Prince Andrew stuff etc. in the papers

But people’s perception of the royals is either:

Bullshit soap opera they don’t really pay any attention to;
Total fanatical '90s Jacko fan obsession and denial of wrongdoing;
They’re all lizards anyway, this is expected of them.

I don’t think the Prince Andrew stuff is going to stick at all for a lot of British press consumers

yeah but at least it’ll have that ā€˜it’s been in the papers’ aspect to it rather than being ā€˜what I saw on the internet’

I see your point, but I don’t know how many news consumers value print over digital anymore. It’s just all going to get washed away.

Yeah he’s mentioned as ā€œPrince Andrews paedo palā€ or something similar on the front of all the papers this morning

Princes Andrew and Edward don’t exist any more though. Press is all about the younger generation.

also, on the subject of hypernormalisation I think Epstein’s ā€˜suicide’ is possibly only the 2nd biggest wtf/shrug of the past few days. The insanity in this picture is beyond comprehension
