I’ve been a fan of Jesca Hoop for quite some time now, always thought she had an incredible voice and loved her fairly sparse arrangements with big hooks provided almost solely by her voice but always thought she lacked the great album in her catalog to really cement herself. 3 listens in and I think this album will be a strong contender for my own personal album of the year, this is an incredibly strong collection of personal songs with a strong sense of identity and is just very well written. Also appears to have netted itself a perfect 10 on this site which is nice Hope she gets a bit more exposure from this release.
Really enjoyed listening to this on Friday. Lovely lp
