they had the name of the album slightly wrong somewhere for a bit too iirc, it was listed as We Waited Up Until It Was Light
Ahhh that makes more sense then
letās poll it
- We Left You Sleeping And Gone Now
- Waited Up 'til It Was Light
- Grace and the Bigger Picture
- Johnny Foreigner vs Everything
- You Can Do Better
- Mono No Aware
- How to Be Hopeful
Last JoFo shirt I bought was one of the smallest fitting things ever lol, fully Skins era fit in the year of 2016
Will have to size well up if I ever get another from them
Think Iād be feeling a bit short-changed at only an hour with the size of their back-catalogue, especially considering how little they gig these days.
Did look at making the trek from Manchester to Brum tomorrow but probably for the best the train links are so poor. Certain the gigs will be excellent of course
Yeah I think itās to do with their size playing smaller venues (although bush hall is bigger than something like The Lexington where I last saw them) think they tend to play 45-60 mins when they could easily do 1hr 30 - 2hrs
Really enjoying the new album. Was dozing off listening on the train home the other day and it was perfect hypnogogic listening.
Woah!
Really like the new album. Older and a bit more battered but theyāve not lost that spark.
The Dismemberment Plan bits shouldnāt work but they just dooooo
Yeh, itās great. Have dipped in and out over the years as a casual rather than avid fan, but always enjoy them when I remember to listen to them and this new one is exactly what Iām in the mood for right now - lots of fun and (a bit like the latest Los Camp) feels like a perfect version of what a band like this should be in their (relatively speaking) ālaterā years. Back catalogue binge definitely now incoming!
Jofo track by track is a DiS tradition I could not break
Really fun, thank you for publishing.
Iāll be fascinated to see what reaction it gets from the 8k people who just had it in their inbox - a few hundred of whom only signed up in recent weeks.
Itās very Alexei in that I donāt know what heās going on about half the time, but itād be sad if he lost that tbh
I like how insular some of those moments are. They create lore that lures you in. Itās āworld buildingā as marketing buzzworders might say.
Leeds clashing with Futureheads, rude
You mean I have to listen to a band called CryWank?
