Why wouldn’t that apply to opening it from the outside too? It’s not like you’re doing anything to alter the pressure when you open it from the outside, you’re just pulling the door.

(Just seen DingDong’s link - yeah old fridges had latches you’d need to pull on).

Ok well either way the oxygen would run out pretty quickly right (and it would be very cold which would make it worse cuz your body would shut down pretty quickly)

Oh this is also addressed in the article

I mean in a modern fridge it would take no more effort to push it open from the inside than opening from the outside, you could do it with your little finger (unless a scientist wants to prove me wrong), in an old one you’d be properly locked in.

I wouldn’t think a fridge is perfectly airtight either but idk.

Would’ve been a pretty rubbish ending if the Joker had just got stuck in his fridge and died. Maybe an important safety lesson or a statement about the dangerously chaotic nature of the universe but a rubbish ending

I haven’t seen Joker, but we’re talking about the dark knight rises here too, yes? Yes.

I watched it the other night having not seen it since the cinema. I don’t remember actively disliking it, just thinking it was a bit of a mess. Anyway, watched it again and what’s actually happening in it? Maybe I’ve missed a major chunk of what is going on, but why are they driving a nuclear bomb around in a van for days/weeks/months (however long, not sure)? Are Bane/Talia always planning on blowing up Gotham (if so, why have the delay)?

Would have been dark if Indiana Jones had survived the nuclear blast in his fridge, the discovered he was trapped inside it and slowly suffocated.

A mark of my extreme age is that I can easily remember children routinely dying in abandoned refrigerators. There was a public safety campaign pleading with people to be sure to smash the locking mechanism when they threw them out.

Can someone check @ghosthalo isn’t stuck in a fridge?

This has to be some kind of stunt for a film, like when Joaquin Phoenix was in that crap fake documentary about being a rapper or some bollocks like that

Ended up watching this when I was ill a few months back…

Seriously, imagine the press. ‘NEW joker movies inspires indie music DEATH cult creates new FRIDGETRAP challenge’

I remember an episode of due south where they are trapped in a vault, and the criminals outside have Ray’s sister, the criminals call the inside of the vault to try and get them to open up, but Benton Fraser destroys the phone without answering much to Ray’s dismay, the reason being Benton Fraser knew that the criminals had Ray’s sister and would be using her as leverage, he knew the criminals knew he knew, but by destroying the phone he blocked them from being able to threaten her. Really sunk in as a valuable life lesson, have yet to be in a situation where I could apply it though

Intrigued about those later series where they swapped Ray for another Ray, witness protection or something

The seal on a fridge saved Indiana Jones from a nuclear bomb, so it must be fairly solid.

TW: absolute banger inbound

Maybe he did suffocate inside and everything that followed was a bizarre lucid vision in the moments before death.

believe it or not one of my ATDs looks like a younger, less muscular version of the mountie, literally every time we go for a beer he gets hit on at least 5 times
